Palace of Venaria
The complex consists of the Reggia Borgo Antico, the Palace and The Herd Park.
The Borgo Antico is a national treasure of historical events. The magnificent baroque palace with its extensive gardens, one of the most significant examples of the magnificence of architecture and art of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The Herd Park, one of the finest examples of European environmental in which numerous species of wild and domestic animals live freely, houses an important historical and architectural heritage.
The construction of the Palace began in 1659, the structure, designed by Amedeo di Castellamonte, was completed in 1675, and after, the architects Garove Michelangelo, Filippo Juvarra and Benedetto Alfieri continued the work.
